WellStat Supports ASHRAE Coalition Calling for Greater Investment in Indoor Air Quality
As part of Air Quality Awareness Week, WellStat is proud to share that we are one of 32 organizations supporting ASHRAE’s FY2027 Indoor Air Quality coalition letter to Congress.
The coalition is advocating for increased federal investment in indoor air quality initiatives across schools, workplaces, healthcare facilities, and public infrastructure — reinforcing the growing recognition that healthier indoor environments are closely tied to public health, wellbeing, and building performance.
For those of us working across buildings, sustainability, and occupant experience, this is an important step forward. Indoor air quality is no longer a side conversation. It is increasingly being recognized as a critical part of how buildings support health, productivity, and overall quality of life.
“At WellStat, we believe indoor air quality is foundational to healthier and higher-performing spaces,” said Vivek Sanan, Chief Product Officer & Chief Technology Officer at WellStat. “We’re proud to support ASHRAE and the broader coalition advocating for stronger national focus and investment in healthier indoor environments.”
The coalition’s recommendations include continued support for indoor air quality programs, research, and implementation efforts through agencies including the EPA and CDC, with a focus on improving conditions in schools and public buildings and expanding access to building performance intelligence.

At WellStat, we work with organizations to better understand what is happening inside their buildings through connected intelligence across indoor air quality, energy, and building operations. As awareness around indoor environmental quality continues to grow, we believe data-driven insights will play an increasingly important role in helping organizations create healthier, more resilient spaces.
We’re encouraged to see stronger alignment across industry, public health, and policy leaders around the importance of indoor air quality and the long-term impact healthier buildings can have on people and communities.
